One of my defining principles as an artist is establishing an open dialogue between form and light, that defines time, movement and mood, immersing you as the viewer in the landscape. Where the water lilies grow

Sometimes you can see wondrous glimpses of wetlands. A quick splash and what was there is gone. Back to the safety of the darkened waters. It is beautiful in what looks like lonely existence, but yet full of life under its fauna cloak.

Beaver Trails

The grasses became thicker until all you could see of the marsh was where the beavers had toiled, bringing their fodder for damming. This painting depicts a peaceful wetland area on a sullen sombre day in November. You can hear the red winged blackbird. Grey skies reflected in the waters between
golden grasses.
